Maintaining this blog requires an investment of my time and effort, but in the current financial environment, I am most concerned about the well-being of my students. I am spearheading an effort to raise $5,000 during the Spring 2026 semester to support the Columbus State University Department of Earth and Sciences scholarship fund, which is named after former geology professor William Frazier.
Most of our students work one (and in some cases, two) jobs to support their studies. Your support can make an immense difference in making a college degree a reality for one of these deserving individuals.
If you feel called to support this work and that of our students, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to the Columbus State University Department of Earth and Space Science’s foundation. Please select “Earth and Space Sciences” (0744) in the “Designation” field at the link below.
Thank you for helping to support the important work that we do and for providing opportunities to some very deserving students.
